This course is aimed at existing professionals and those aspiring to become professional wedding photographers.
Graham will use his experience of 30 years in photographing weddings to take you through not just the picture taking but also the business side of running a wedding photography studio along with image manipulation with Adobe Photoshop.
Additionally we will look at new and exciting ways of selling your images from Story Book albums and Reportage styles through to traditional albums, framing, reprints etc. We will also demonstrate how you can use Malcolm Mathieson’s (one of Australia’s top portrait photographers) exciting template system to improve sales from images captures at weddings.
This course can be taken in 3 stages. Day one we will be looking at the business side of running a successful wedding photography studio, including promoting,, marketing and advertising, managing the day etc.
Day two will be a practical day working with models on location at a local church. We will look at posing, using your surroundings to the best, capturing informal and reportage style images, organisation, dealing with guests etc. How to use available light in the church to your advantage. Fill in flash and reflectors. Time management and keeping control of the day. Images can be downloaded and assessed. There will be a limited opportunity to look at the basics of Adobe Photoshop and image manipulation.
Day three we will spend time looking at many aspects of Photoshop, plus teaching you how to make up reportage and story book albums using either dedicated software or Adobe Photoshop. We will show you how to do this without being tied to one particular supplier( and much cheaper). There will opportunities for you make up pages for your own use in display , publicity etc.
We will go through the various options available for presenting your final images to your clients and how that presentation can lead to increased sales
